Costa Rican Association of Underground Works
It is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, founded in 2015 that promotes the development of underground works. Among its goals and challenges is to draw the attention of the public and decision makers to the unique benefits of underground space, especially social and environmental. It also promotes the development of tunnels and underground space in Costa Rica, for the benefit of the country's inhabitants, the environment and sustainable development as a solution to surface problems. And it promotes advances in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation and safety of tunnels and underground spaces, providing relevant and timely information and promoting the training and qualification of people involved in their development.
Carry out technical activities, such as conferences, seminars, courses and any other type of training or information activity.
Promotes or carries out scientific or technical studies, the results of which are important for the achievement of its purposes.
Promotes the exchange of information, inside and outside the country, useful for the development of underground works.
Publish reports, reports, technical documents of any type or informative documents on underground works.
Proposes regulations for the development of underground works.
